On September 29th the staff and students wore their Orange Shirts as part of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Throughout the week, in their library classes, the students listened to stories about Residential schools and their survivors. There were many great discussions about the events that took place and the importance and meaning behind Orange Shirt Day. Each class completed a craft in honour of Orange Shirt Day.
The classroom teachers all had activities and stories within their classrooms, and we are planning a chili and bannock hot lunch. for October 27th.
